We are happy to announce that we got accepted to launch at the European Rocketry Challenge! Following the footsteps of EULER and PICCARD the team is eager to compete as part of the third edition of EuRoC in Portugal.  The competition was first brought to life roughly two years ago when the Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition in the US (Spaceport America Cup) was cancelled due to Covid-19. The Portuguese Space Agency has supported EuRoC ever since and the competition has grown steadily. We are not only looking forward to launching ARIS’ first guided recovery system but also to exchanging our experience and knowledge with students from universities from all of Europe! Therefore, we are highly motivated to continue our hard work to finalize all structural and hardware components as well as conducting ground tests. Our software and GNC (Guidance, Navigation and Control) algorithms are currently being tested on simulations and are to be refined and tweaked even further throughout our droptest campaign.
Stay tuned for more updates of PERIPHAS’ progress while we make our way to EuRoC!
